Okay, so God is pretty cool. I don’t know how it happened but it’s almost the end of our second week of training camp and we’ve already done so much!
Being here just shows me how much God cares. First, He was listening to me, over the years if moving around the country, every time I asked to be surrounded by friends. God knew the steps that needed to happen in order to grow in my faith. He is continually teaching me to trust in him during the occasions that I’m not smiling. Finally, he inspires me to get hungry for more of him.
While we’ve been here, our squad has been able to experience really amazing things. We’ve been sleeping in tents and moving said tents because of the rain caused a swamp. We’ve gotten to take bucket showers and try to hand wash our clothes before they get rained on. Every day we spend in the word; learning to recognize the voice of Jesus. It is so cool to see the Holy Spirit move in an through us as we dive deeper into him.
I am so thankful for the team and community with which I am surrounded. I am thankful for the freedom to dance as we worship. I am thankful for the time set aside to to know the people I’m spending the next year with. And I am thankful for the safe place to grow.
